Claire Bass

Biography

Claire Bass completed her Bachelor of Laws at Murdoch University in February 2018. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia as a barrister and solicitor in December 2018 and to the High Court of Australia in June 2019.

 

Claire makes regular appearances in the Magistrates Courts, District Court and Supreme Court of WA, as well as the Federal Court of Australia, appearing on behalf of clients in both criminal and civil jurisdictions.

Expertise

As a solicitor at Nigams Legal, Claire works in criminal law, criminal confiscations matters and a wide range of workers’ compensation and personal injury claims including motor vehicle accidents, mining accidents, fatal accidents, public liability, total and permanent disability claims under superannuation policies and criminal injuries compensation.
 
Prior to admission to practice, Claire spent her university years clerking under the supervision of prominent criminal law barristers, including Mr Simon Freitag SC, together with working at Nigams Legal as a law clerk since mid 2017.
